I need some help on the Blood Curse quest. I'm in Vergen at the moment, and apparently I need the spear head from Iorveth, but I can't find him anywhere. And the other objects I have no idea of getting (aside from the medallion, which I'll apparently get after lifting the curse). If anyone could help me, that'd be wonderful. So say I enter from the gates where you run into the two dwarves who reminisce about the old days, where would I go from there to get the 3 objects?

I forget who you talk to, but Iorveth doesn't have the spear. You actually end up winning it in dice poker, but someone has to tell you that Iorveth doesn't actually have the spear head anymore, first.

EDIT: For the Dun Banner Standard, you have to go up the stairs immediately after entering Vergen, then go past all the doors until you get to a wooden one that leads outside of town. If you wander around there, you'll find some catacombs where one of the other items is :)

Ah so both the banner and the sword (I think it's a sword) are up the stairs and in the catacombs?

Well I found the Dun Banner in the catacombs by killing the ghost of the knight. But my map says the sword of Vandergrift is in the catacomb, too. Where is it? I looked through the whole place and nothing.

Whaaaat? It's not. Saskia has the sword. I forget if you even need it on a Roche playthrough, but it's definitely not in the catacombs.

Unless I totally missed something?

Yeah I'm with Roche right now, quest is called "The Blood Curse".

Can't say much about sword because in all my playthroughs I just lied to the ghost that I was in Dun (thanks to books and npcs on Iorveth's path) - one thing is sure: if you can convince him you get both in a chest.

On the upside if you have Banner and sword all you have to do is some crawling in mines and relaxing at a poker dice

The sword that you get from catacombs is not quest item, just a regular not-so-fancy sword.

Yup. Saskia has the sword in both sides. Obviously the quests to convince her to give it to you are different, though.

You must work your way through a rotfiend and nekker infested mine until you find Saskia, who will then give you the sword. Zoltan should've told you all of this... unless he didn't cross the mist with you?

When getting the sword, you can ask Saskia about the spearhead, which she will direct you to... Cecil? One of the dwarves, and you play poker with him for it.

Ah nevermind, got it all sorted out. Yes, I remember Zoltan said he'd grab the sword. I found him in the mine and got it from that one girl who's name escapes me at the moment. And got the spear head too, so now I just need to recross that damn mist again....

For Roche side Chapter 2...

Obtained on Hensel side,

1. Armour from one of the leaders of conspirators in the area near brothel (square coins quest from Dethmold),

Obtained on Vergen side,

1. Standard in a catacombs, obtained through discussions with ghost or by killing it (map pointer),
2. Sword obtained from Saskia once Zoltan offers to retrieve it he will get caught and Saskia will meet you alongside of him in the Tunnels and gladly hand you the sword to end the curse (map pointer).
3. Spear-head from dice game from the merchant at the Vergen gates, though you need to be informed about it (I believe Saskia will tell you that Iorveth lost it in a game of Poker at the time of obtaining the sword).
