I've got a bit of a problem. Seems like a bug.

I have finally gotten the Dun Banner. I am supposed to meet Zoltan somewhere. He is supposed to be getting a sword.

I am in that front area of Vergen. The two dwarfs I spoke to when I entered the town are there. One is standing around, the other sitting. Zoltan is no where to be found.

What do I do to advance the game?

Also wondering, is it possible to go back through the mist and successfully get back to the military camp?

You are not bugged. You need to enter the mines. Zoltan, or one of the other Dwarves, will have mentioned the mines when you first arrived at Vergen. Go out to the ravines and take a left instead of a right. Hopefully you can work out the rest of the directions.

And, yes, you can go back across the battlefield, as you'll have to in order to bring all those items back.

Holy crap. I completely missed that. I went into the harpy area, but did not notice the other path.
