I understand there is a bug that prevents people completing the Blood Curse quest, once the king says Lets do some magic, it hits a loading screen and the game crashes.

This was supposed to be fixed in the last patch, however I downloaded this yesterday and i am still crashing when this happens. Has anyone found a solution to this issue?

When this happened to me, the game still made an Auto Save.

Loading that Auto Save, instead of the save before the crash got me through it.

Unfortunately, the last save I have is a quick save just before the crash.

So, the game did not Auto Save after your quick save? Bugger.

Try goin back just a tad further then. It Auto Saved on my crash. Maybe if you try again, it will.

My game did not crash but Geralt was frozen in place, I could not move him. Weird bug.

I had an auto-save after the quest ended though, like hanns said.

Well, when it happened the first time, my last save was me still in Vergen. So I dunno how far I have to go back...

The game does a TON of AutoSaves. For a couple stretches there is a strange paucity of autos. Most of them are pretty opportune. (A couple spots oughta have 'em and don't.)

I don't Hard Save for every AutoSave, but darn near close. At the end of a play session, I usually delete all AutoSaves.

Went back to an earlier Auto Save... and it somehow fixed itself. *shrug* Lost a couple of hours playtime but hey i dont have to start again.
