I've just started to play with the game and recently I ended with the prolouge.

I have some questions (which were not in the FAQ):
- How can I see the objects around me? (Like in Wither 1, when you pressed Alt)
- How can I turn off the HDR effect? Everything is white when some light on it, there's too much black. The whole game is like an oversaturated photo. I've already turned off bloom.
- How can I jump in a battle?
- How can I put some background (or contour) behind the subtitles?
- Where can I find information on importing Withcer 1 save games? There wasn't in the manual.

Hi :)

1. Press Z and Geralt will use his medallion.
2. Not sure if you can. Can you post a screenshot of your game if you think it looks too weird?
3. You can't.
4. You can't.
5. Put your last TW1 savegame (typically named Order of the Flaming Rose [autosave]) in TW2 saves folder (in \My Documents\Witcher 2\gamesaves) and you should be able to load it when you select New Game.

Thank you for the quick answer!

The HDR problem:
- Here is a picture with everything burn out, there are no details at all on the rocks: http://www.image-share.com/upload/764/87.jpg
- Here is the same place when I'm in the main menu: http://www.image-share.com/upload/764/89.jpg

You're welcome :)

It shouldn't be like that, it's a graphical bug, I'm pretty sure someone posted about it before. What graphic card do you have and are your drivers up to date?
I installed the newest NVIDIA beta driver (v275.50) and I have a GTX 260 card.

I turned off the bloom and SSAO, but those didn't change anything. Half of the game area is ok, but the other half is completely burnt out (white everywhere).

I tried to modify gamma and brightness without success.
Try adjusting brightness and gamma in the options menu.
With lower brightness and max gamma the situation is somehow better. Thank you for the solution :)

Yea first thing I thought when I looked at your screen shot was gamma was way too high.
Does look like high gamma... So, set the game gamma and brightness to 5 or so, and at your desktop, run whatever proggie your monitor has to do a brightness correction. It may be your monitor is too bright or the contrast isn't set properly.
Jumping in battle? You can't jump, but you can roll. Double-click W, A, S, or D to roll in that direction.

Importing TW1 saves? If TW1 is installed, TW2 will find the saves in the TW1 saves folder. Only certain saves will work: I believe they must be from the Ice Plains or Order of the Flaming Rose at the end of the game.

If TW1 isn't installed, do as dnna said and drop the TW1 save in the TW2 gamesaves folder.
