Is there any? I've read around different forums about Geralt chopping off arms etc. He doesn't do that in my game :(
There's lots of blood and cool finishers but something is missing: That flying leg after a mighty sweeping blow right below the knee.
nope it doesn't :( don't know why they removed decapitations etc

well he's chopping, even exploding but you can not take body parts to your inventory. Your post reminds me of Icewind Dale II, the part you scared Yquog with the dead bodies you collect.

There's a cutscene where Geralt decapitates an older woman in the first act/chapter, but I don't know if cutscenes count.
I meant actual combat and decapitations in those or in finishing moves. I don't need them, but some finishing moves look like they should send an arm/leg/head flying. That's why (and some reviews and forum posts) I was wondering if I had some censored version.

Well, I think those bucketfulls of blood will do :)

When you have the last two skills of swordsmanship tree, you'll have some pretty cool finishing moves triggered by pressing X. i think you are talking about that.

Yes there is, I've lopped off a few arms in regular combat. It's one of the first things I noticed about combat early on.
PI have seen limbs be dismembered in combat.

Fighting some guards in the prologue I hit one and his arm came off.
I don't notice much dismemberment using swords but I did use a polearm weapon when escaping the dungeon and it would take of some hands.

I recall doing that, too. It's not every time.
I'm one of those people who never did see dismemberment in the entire game... Does it have anything to do with the weapons? I've had several sword changes though (always named ones too) but never as much as hacked off a limb.

Another possibility is, could it be tied to graphics card capabilities or difficulty settings?

In my gog version im seeing people lose their hands all the time, but no heads yet, maybe its only on gog version?
decapitation is actually very hard to do. especially if your opponent is wearing chain or plate neck armor. so i'm perfectly satisfied with only cutting off unprotected arms and such.

as for monsters, they should definitely patch it back in.

But I AM on the GOG version, not the Australian version either. =(
Can we get some comments on this by CDP RED?

I noticed that only enemies who lose their arms are the ones from tutorial prolugue or a few enemies in chapter 1, but i haven't seen a single enemy do it in later chapters?
