Great game, almost no disappointment

1)
Just somehow it gives a feel: too short (if we don't count re-play to discover different events)
2)
Some missions in ACT II are way too simple (compare to the feel at the beginning: it's supposed to be NOT THAT SIMPLE [like there's no story as developer forgot to write about it])
* edit * the misson like that special sword, or dun banner, and spear
for that spear: just a lucky gambling, even just win once among for example 100 fails, you still got the spear
3)
The inventory system is totally a mess, a let down

Thanks anyway
Looking forwarder to The Witcher III

There will be tons of free DLC, and most likely some expansions according to what the devs have been saying. This is just the beginning. The Witcher 1 was a completely different game at launch than it is now. They added some ~15 hours to it.

I expect to see many quests and stuff added in the later chapters (for free), and possibly more acts after the epilogue in future expansions.

actually in end i was so tired that i skiped all the side quests and skip to the ending.

also do realize there are 16 endings. so you need to have time for that right ?
There might be 16 endings, but the path to them, except for a couple final decisions, is pretty much the same. So playing the same 2.5 chapters 16 times is insane. INSANE!!
id question the statement that there will be "tons" of dlc. with production in full swing on witcher 2 for the 360, i would expect a couple of dlc packs, but maybe 5 tops.

the game is way way too short... i think they just ran out of time, because the game starts off great, but as you progress it gets shorter and shorter and more and more insubstantial... pity.

the ONLY thing im hoping for, is that cdp i think stated that they werent just porting witcher 2 to console, they were going to be adding substantial fixes and changes... improvements... the only thing i have small hopes for in regards to this game, is that atleast some of those changes, improvements and - hopefully - extensions, get added to the pc version via an enhanced 'update' like the first game got...

though im under no illusions about it... we were VERY lucky gamers the first time round, and they were trying to build up their reputation... IF we get an enhanced update for this game it will likely be a paid update.

additionally cdp will put resources into some paid expansions for the game as well...

but dlc? dlc doesnt pay the bills, so i dont expect much in the way of dlc MISSIONS (anything to expand gameplay) - though im sure we'll see a few new swords and armor and junk for free, for those who like that stuff.

I'm still trying to figure out how there can be 16 different endings when I find the story a lot more simple than the first and not as many locations and/or chracters to influence the ending.

it'll be stuff you wont even notice until the next game... little choices like who you let live or who died that wont matter a bit to the ending of this game, but will likely make for one or two different dialog choices in the next game, thats all... the 16 endings thing isnt as large as cdp or significant as cdp made it sound... not even close.

Are you just assuming there is going to be a 3rd or has cdp said they're working on one soon?
everything that's in the xbox version will be on PC

says here
Where do peeps get this "it's too short" stuff? When I decided to restart the game because pf the patch, I was 17.5 hours approaching the end of chapter 1. That projects to be about 35 - 40 hours. That is plenty long.

It would be more accurate to say there are 16 possible world states at the end rather than 16 completely diverse endings.

There's a giant cliffhanger, and then the game makes a "completed game" save. All signs point to a third game.

But no one has said it outright yet.

assuming... and i think its a pretty good assumption, i mean witcher 2 clearly wasnt a finished story.... it was purposefully left unfinished because they intended to carry on the franchise (unlike the first game which tied off all loose-ends apart from the cliffhanger, like any GOOD game/movie should do in a perfect world :D)

so its clear cdp intends to continue the story - all signs point to them making a franchise experience (which worries me a bit... quality tends to slip once devs start turning their ideas into franchises...) , and all the reviews so far have been very positive, and it IS a very good game so i expect it to do good business... and given the kinds of dumbed down generic crap console gamers usually get swamped with, im sure theyre gonna love this game, so it will make even more money.

so yes.. assumption, but a very good one.

I completed 3 endings and I can say they are diverse, currently on the progress of completing the 4th ending. (all of them on hard difficulty and restart the game from witcher 1 saves from my PC).

I think I will create a flow chart in excel and pin my save screenshots + save files in the sheet, ;) to be sure I got all 16 endings.. (hehe)

Huh. That's a valid alternative to creating a folder with the save-file along with a text-file describing what happened. I guess I'll do that, too. :p
