I don't like being hand held all the way through games and told exactly where I need to go but, when I can't find someone specific and have no dialogue options to ask for locations of characters, things can get really frustrating.

Just spent 20 minutes searching for Ves in the encampment with no luck. It would also alleviate some of the vague-ness of quest objectives.

When I'm told to burn 9 corpses around a campsite - it'd be nice to know that the corpses in the cave (a cave found around the campsite incidentally) is not the correct one so I don't keep casting Igni at it in the hopes it'll catch fire.
The funny thing is while playing the game I kept wishing for a feature like Outcast where I can ask for someone's location.
I agree. The corpse thing reminds me of the find x lumber quest in Gothic 3. Played it many times and every playthrough I'm struggling to find the last one.
The minimap in Witcher 2 is flawed in the same way. Why would you not do it as it was in the first one? It was great!

I totally wouldn't mind a lack of waypoints if I could ascertain the location of where I wanted to go by asking people but, since that's not an option, they really should fix that.

Also, as soon as you have any *find X number* quests, a waypoint marker is pretty damned necessary to stop people from going insane if that number is over 5....

I dred fetch quests. Its such a pain in the ass. It feels as though its a way to artificially lengthen the game so that you go running around aimlessly.

Found them all by pure luck - look for areas with the necro-monsters in them, they're usualyl scattered around there.

There were 3 near the hut by the seaside, close to the whore tower and soldiers patrolling the area. One is pretty well hidden among the grass.

Other than that there's two by a caravan, another 3 near the Arachnos thing and another set of two a think....
