Hello people!

Well, first of all, my pc specs.
I have a Sager laptop: i7-Q820, 4GB RAM 1333Mhz, NVidia GTX280M 1Gb.
I installed the latest nvidia driver and the latest The Witcher 2 patch.

Even using the low spec, the game get extremely low performance.
I play 5min with FPS at 30 and suddenly it fall to 5.
So, if I wait a little, the game turn back to 30 FPS. I play a little bit more and the FPS falls again to 3-4 FPS. It's very annoying!

This is weird because only happens with TW2.

I tried to do a lot of things, but the problem always persist.

Anyone nows what can be that?

Thanks and sorry for the english!

Sounds like the computer is going into thermal limiting. If components start to overheat, the system will reduce their clock rate, enough to hit performance hard. After the computer has had a chance to cool down, you get the higher performance again.

Laptops are susceptible to this, especially when running a demanding and maybe-not-so-well-optimized game like TW2.
