Let me start out by saying I've checked multiple forums and tried the advice in the sticky thread.

It's Crossfire.

4) For dual cards linked into crossfire, turn off one of the cards or use the Dirt 2 profile."

AMD is working on a profile plus hotfix driver for it which should be out soon..maybe next week.

Crossfire setup arn't officially supported as of yet, so your performance is actualy less than your single 4870. But there is a workaround! By renaming the witcher2.exe to dirt2.exe you are able to trick Catalyst Control Center into thinking that it's Dirt2 running. Effectively using the dirt 2 CCC profile for multi GPU setups. From what I've read it seems to work more or less. Make sure to rename the actual .exe not the launcher.exe. You will most likly have to repeat this trick once CDProjekt released a patch, as that will most likly update the witcher 2's .exe

I just got the Radeon today as an upgrade as I was anticipating this game, didn't realise it'd kind of fuck up the game. I thought it was a single card, not with any crossfire tech.

However I tried renaming the Witcher 2 app to Dirt2 and it had no affect on FPS rates.

Bump.

I changed the Force CrossfireX Profile to Dirt 2 in Radeon Pro, and the MVPUMode to Alternative Frame Rendering, now I'm still getting around 20fps.

Is there anything else I'm missing? When I click off of Witcher 2 in Radeon pro, the Crossfire Profile wipes itself from Dirt 2, even if I put apply settings.
don't use radeonpro. just copy paste witcher2.exe and rename it to dirt2.exe

This should make the game use crossfire but since it's not a profile optimized for the the witcher 2 you won't see very stable fps.

You mean in Witcher 2/Bin directory correct?

To be fair, I'm not seeing an increase in FPS either way it's renamed, I think I'm just gonna have to wait for the crossfire patch before I can play this with any sort of stabiltiy.
I have 2 4870s and I got a decent fps boost renaming the exe to "CompatAFR-1x1.exe". But it is still a poor substitute for proper drivers from AMD/ATI.
