Some people have had their insane saves marked dead when they patched to 1.2, so it's probably a safe move to change your difficulty to "hard" and resave. Just a heads up.

That would be quite the swift kick to the groin... however if I do that, than any time I want to save I have to switch to hard, then re-switch back, on and on. Would be very annoying. :(

You should be safe just switching your difficulty to hard, patching, then switching back to "insane" and keeping it there. It seems as though the act of patching somehow caused it rather than playing on a different patch than the insane save was started on, but so few people play on insane that it's difficult to be sure. Figured a little warning wouldn't hurt, though :)

That why they call it "insane", woohoo! You can not only die in game, you can also die when you patch, woohoo!

There was this time I uninstalled The Witcher 1, and my insane saves got marked as "dead". Heck, even my launcher broke. I was like, "What the hell? This is insaaane!!!". I could imagine the CDPR people looking at me, nodding like, smiling, and saying, "Hmm.... we didn't call it insane for no reason, ya know..."

Btw we need stickies!!!! For announcements and such, so that people who don't lurk in the forum can be updated with what's new.

We have stickies. We also have GOG staff who don't love us enough anymore to use that power for our benefit :(
