Yeah, good to see they removed the DRM for all versions now. Really was the right thing to do since the DRM was literally affecting the performance of the game. Good job CDP.
yep reinstalled it took out all the mods and the troll.dzip and it patched perfectly. Now to try in game, thanks CDPR and GoG.

He, he, not only the performance. Many people were unable to activate TW2 at all. Not to mention that DRM sucks!
"11. After beating the GOG.com penitent monk in the mini-game, the relevant link now displays correctly. "

Do I have to beat him again to get the link? Because it's still not there for me...

joshykins: Guys the patch 1.1 is in your My accounts page on your Witcher 2 game box on your digital shelf. It's under the 'Extras" list.
Oh, thank you!
steam didn't have securom anyways :>
If I knew they'd strip the DRM from the disc release THIS quickly, I might have gone for the fancy collector's edition!

Ah well, I don't need more crap lying around anyway.
The patch did not fix any of my problems, the monk reward still does not show up, and I still can't download the polish voice overs - after finishing the DL it just says "verifying" and then starts over again >:/
Adam Badowski, CD Projekt RED Development Director, commented, “Our goal is to make our fans and customers happy and to reward them for buying our game and DRM schemes does not support our philosophy as they might create obstacles for users of legally bought copies. Our approach to countering piracy is to incorporate superior value in the legal version. This means it has to be superior in every respect: less troublesome to use and install, with full support, and with access to additional content and services. So, we felt keeping the DRM would mainly hurt our legitimate users. This is completely in line with what we said before the release of The Witcher 2. We felt DRM was necessary to prevent the game being pirated and leaked before release. This purpose has been served, so we are pleased to let our users enjoy the full freedom of game usage they deserve.”

Semi confirmed, I didn't re-install the game I just removed all mods and DLC. The GOG patcher worked fine.

I made a new folder and copied everything from the CookedPC folder which was not original and the DLC's into that. Moved it to my download folder, ran the GOG patcher and then put my mods and DLC back where they were.

Game save ran fine, nothing missing.
BTW, I never run the game from the launcher, I use the Witcher.exe.
The launcher always connects or tries to connect to the web and slows the game down.
Mine patched fine and I already had some mods installed.

But…

It reset many of my preferences. Including QTE, gamma and brightness and it reset my graphics to low.

If you have patched – recheck all of your preferences.
