So I just started act 2 on Iorveth's path on dark mode and I was about to start farming for the Oathbreaker armor. after farming for along time i began to notice that my studded leather I was crafting wasn't appearing in the crafting menu. It got to the point were I had 18 studded leather for the chest piece and I would go to craft it and it showed I had 0. I had the Witcher 2 enhanced mod compilation on minimal so when this happened I uninstalled it and this bug still would happen. Can someone please help I need this armor to get through act 2

I happen to have played just beyond this very spot and had no issues or problems. Are you running any mods? The only one I have is the one to turn off the weird screen when using the dark swords.

When you say that you uninstalled and it would happen again is this from a saved game or did you play all the way through to that same point in the game?

I did uninstall the mod but it still happened. I just uninstalled it and played through the end of act 1 to were i am currently in act 2 (saski was just posined and i am just walking around vergen)[
I don't know if this will work, but could you try storing all your studded leather at the inn and then going and getting it again? Maybe this will "reset" the studded leather in your inventory so it will appear on the crafting screen again. You might want to leave the inn and save / reload before going to get the studded leather again.
I would do as Waltorious has said and then tack on this additional test. After dumping all your studded leather, saving and reloading go and craft 1 more piece. Then see if it appears in the crafting materials for the armor. Also see if you can sell it.

The only time things have disappeared for me it when a mod changed them.
I just tried to do what you guys say and it still didn't work. Honestly this is getting vary frustrating and i am not sure if i will even keep playing at this point unless i find a fix for this soon.

Don't give up yet, I think we can figure this out. I just found the following page:

http://www.reddit.com/r/witcher/comments/32al3e/why_do_you_do_this_to_me_game/

Which suggests that the Witcher 2 Enhanced Mod Compilation is almost certainly the culprit. But we have to figure out how to get it to disable properly so that you will be able to craft. On that page it sounds like the poster disabled the mod rather than fully uninstalling it. Maybe that's worth a try?

I would suggest reinstalling the mod and turning it back on, then checking the crafting screen again. If it won't let you craft, try disabling BUT NOT UNINSTALLING the mod (i.e, just uncheck it on the mods menu, but don't fully uninstall it). Then see if it works. My guess is that maybe the mod got uninstalled but was never officially "disabled" first, so it got bugged out.

I agree. many times when you uninstall you actually don't delete some of the files and they remain. When uninstalling you also need to make sure you manually check to see if the entire folder has been deleted.

This problem is due to a mod. First try doing as Waltorious says above. If that fails uninstall and then manually delete the folder and all files. You have to delete two areas. One where the game was installed and the other where the saved game and other files are kept.
I encountered the same problem, but managed to find a solution. I had to change the base_scripts file provided by the mod in my witcher's CookedPC directory for the original one. After launching the game I managed to craft oathbreaker armour. Then I undone the file change and continued to play with the mod.

I hope you find it helpful,
