Specs:

Ryzen 7: 2700x
Radeon RX 590
Memory: 16GB

I have a problem with the journal menu on the screen. When I press the "J" button, it won't let me see the content. It stays black. Then when I press it again to get out of it (finally) to get to the menu by pressing escape, it will only show Geralt standing in the middle of the area.

This problem only happens when I press "J" twice without double tapping. Even when double tapping the same key it still occurs.

I have to press ALT+TAB to get out of the game because pressing the Windows Icon does not force the game to minimize. Is there a way to fix this kind of a problem?

So this is NOT just me, my computer nor just a "one off"?

Same issue here. Lost me hours of progress due to having to switch the PC off at the plug to force quit. Even Task Manager would not force it to quit! With no autosaves being the reason I lost progress! No autosaves? Unforgivable! Folks, buy Skyrim instead!
I am rather angry to say the least at the moment. Not a good time to be posting posts.

You asked this question 20 months ago. No one's bothered to reply. Simply no answer/fix? Or is it just shunning of posts that highlight problems with this perfect game? Will consider uninstalling this overgrown, overrated garbage and giving a 1-star review if the rather "poor quality" with this game persists. The bugginess of this game is just unacceptable, considering the hype and the price (ok - it's reasonable these days, but was expensive at first AFIAK). The fact such bugs remain unfixed NINE years after release is even more unacceptable.
Isn't CD Projekt Red GOG's "own baby"? They can't even get their own games in order after 9 years?
Well, "quelle supris!" then that "Cyberpunk 2077" seems to be rather dogged with "issues" and is not quite the bobby dazzler the hype proclaimed it would be!

I have found out something, only took me 24 hours. Makes the 20 months of no response seem even more ludicrous than ever eh?

The "H" key disables all game HUD overlays. It also has the side effect of guess what? Wiping out the inventory and journal screens etc, ie the "black screen", and the menus. Press "H" again and it all returns! Christ, CD Projekt Duffer could not even do THAT right. Lol.

So that's what happened! You (and I) will have accidentally hit the "H" key when aiming for the "J" key. They are next to each other afterall! The solution is to simply press "H" again.
