Yes compared to TW1 i was dissapointed in the low number of monsters.

I miss the caves of Ghouls, Graviers, Bruxas etc.

Need more, as sidequests DLC plx.
First game had bigger monster variety imo. Amount of them was ok in W2
I agree the game should have more monsters and bigger, seamless map. There really wasn't alot of monsters to fight with honestly.
Monster population really seems rather low sometimes - after finishing the monster hunter sidequests in chapter one, you can sometimes run from one end of the forest to the other without being attacked once.

Far more less if you go chapter 2.

Plenty of wraiths in the mist. ;)
You are asking for more monster than humans? (in terms of ratio)...
World like that could not sustain itself...
I always preferred a realistic Witcher and not Diablo Witcher :)

IF you failed to realize that TW2 is a little Diablo-lite ;).

Loot (armor, swords, items), crafting, socketing, resistances, secondary effects, alchemy, elemental (negotiator-freeze), skill tree progression, skills and abilities.

I'm just a little disappointed why there are no stats (attributes) strength, dexterity, magic which TW1 has and would have preferred and equivalent same dosage of combat/story ratio.

I feel there needs to be more spawn points for monsters.

Not really. Those things are pretty common in (action) RPGs.
Yeah there were pretty few monsters, compared to the first one. But if you compare the Assassins of kings setting with the one from the first witcher, you'll notice that it doesn't have that "urgent feel". Which imo leaves place for plenty of time to hunt monsters.
I really do not care whether it is monsters or men really but the kayran, Letho and the dragon seriously i could not remember if i was playing TW2 or WoW during those encounters. I still have the "hokey pokey" music going through my head.... you put your left foot in, you take your left foot out, you put your right foot in and shake it all about.

all so very boring
