It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Kradath: If this game ever gets more than 30 Mods a single Thread will be a total mess. ;)
That's partly why I was selective from the beginning with my thread. Probably should've clarified that..

eRe4s3r: The central mod topic sticky is not central enough? ;)

True enough, but for the smallish mods we can do now its sufficient
Nice! I was getting tired of slamming the esc key.

Thanks!
Just wanted to say nice!

But, I use Google Chrome and couldn't get past the "I want to wait" button. Fired up Internet Explorer 9, and couldn't get past it until I disabled an internet explorer pop up that warned about security permissions.

As an aside (since I'm not mod author), is there some aversion to using torrents or something that has mod authors always using these freebie file upload sites? :p

Mediafire and filesmelt at least are extremely easy to up - just select file, press upload and you got an infinite duration 0 hazzle hosting. Heck on mediafire you can even drag a file in the browser window and it auto ups and adds it your folder.

That said, rapidshare has a really annoying download page, so yeah.. ^^

Torrents would be overkill for a under 1kb file.

That's what I figured, though the incredibly small sizes would also mean that most of the perceived downsides to torrenting in which people tend to complain about download speeds would be mostly non-existent. I always like to dream torrents were ultimately about sharing things like this, rather than pirated movies, games, and music. ;p

And, yea, haven't had an issue with the other freebie sites, but that rapidshare site...has issues.

mippoh: This mod skips all short intros at startup except the CD Project one.

Copy the zip content into CookedPC

Could you remove all the short intros?

Maybe..the game didnt start when I removed them all.
If I get some time I might try it again.

soot00: I hope one day a Witcher site comes up, somewhat like Nexus that houses all the mods for Fallout, Oblivion and Dragon age series ...

A central location for all the witcher mods would be great!
This website just opened today! http://www.witchernexus.com/downloads/

I tried this mod with my Steam-version of the game. It didn't launch. After hitting 'launch game' my cursor would just spin, then stop. Only after I removed the intro mod did it run.

Not sure what that's all about.

Steam might be a special case, hard to know for sure.
I would need the file video_start.csv, but its packed inside the 9 gig pack0.dzip
Unless someone unpacks the steam dzip container, and posts the csv file, I cant check if the file is different.

Edit:
An easy first step is to check if the Steam pack0.dzip is the same size as the GOG one.
GOG pack0.dzip = 9,24 GB (9 924 219 493 bytes)

If they are the same, the file inside is probably the same and I have probably made a mistake with my mod.

Sure I can do that later tonight.
Check here for a solution for Steam version of The Witcher 2.

I looked at the link JacquesM posted and realized I made a mistake with my mod.
My version is abit different then the one they posted, but hopefully this new one will work on all versions. The one in the steam forum, only works with steam version.

here is the updated mod I made
link removed, download v3 at first post

Is it possible to post on the Nexus? Thanks.
