I have no sound for the Dialog but all the other sounds are still there, a quick google search shows many people having the same problem in 5.1, if you revert to 2.1 channels the dialog sound is back but what's the point in having a 5.1 surround sound to play in 2.1, loses the atmosphere for me.

This happened after the part where you have to sneak around the back to listen in on the conversation in Indecent Proposal. Everyone on the internet has lost the sound on this same part so it's not a hardware or setting problem but a bug in the game. Anyone know any quick fix? Reverting to old saved games doesn't work.

It's a shame because this is such a beautiful and great game, but sadly i can no longer play it : (

The entire Loredo mansion/area is riddled with sound bugs.
If you load a save anytime while inside this area your going to get hit hard with audio glitchs.

Best thing to do, is do the hole mission without reloading in that area. Change to 2 or 4 channels if you have already lost the sound. Once you exit the mansion area you can change your channel back (i could anyway, had to do a few save and exit of game befor music came back tho).

p.s what sound card you got anyway?.

change windows audio to stereo.

I have a soundblaster Titanium X-Fi HD soundcard

So maybe i should put it to 2 channel until i've got out of this area

Yes definitely try that. I got a xonar dg 5.1 and i got the dialog back turning from 8 to 4 channel. And changed it back to 8 after i had left Loredo's houseing area, and never had the same problem again.
