Ok i need to search around the house and the beach , i already talked to the ghost on the beach and got the documents from the basement thing. I keep searching at night around the house and find nothing, what am i supposed to do? D:

get back to the beach at 23:00 exact time and kill the specters.

Just did that , no specters there lol.
I did talk to one on the beach and told her i would investigate more , i dunno what to do :(

EDIT: ok found the answer the quest is bugged , i needed to kill the ghost when i talked to her or bring the guy to fail the quest ,quest markers and documents are irrelevant :(

It isn't bugged at all, if you want to help the ghost you need to find the entrance to the basement. If you'd like I can tell you exactly where that is unless you'd rather find it yourself.

Please stop claiming things are bugged/broken just because you can't figure them out, we have enough of those threads.

I went to the basement already , took the document and if you tell the dude that the gost said he was a murderer is a quest failed, ok not bugged is a very bad quest design happy now?

And you tried asking Mavrick to come to the beach with you? Once you get there you should have a few options, one of which leads to the quest being completed.

Sorry for being a bit rude, just getting a bit tired of the countless "KAYREN IS BUGGED I SPENT 8 HOURS AND CAN'T KILL HIM!!!!" threads.

I don't know seems a bit bugged to me

I asked Mavrick to come down to the beach to help wit there till 23:00 then find no one

if I try to leave Mavrick tells me he will wait there till they are dealt with but I really can't find where he is waiting

ok found him and after much pushing shoving and waiting managed to get him to the quest point and get it done but it was neither smooth or easy

Yeah it's not bugged or a bad quest. All it took was common sense. How would you negotiate between two parties to discover the truth? Bring them together obviously. Asking someone directly as the option has with Maverick would obviously lead to denial and run off. Put him into a position where he can't run away.

Plus if you read the Journal with quest entry it gives you massive hints so you don't even need Maverick or tell the Spectre you will investigate further. You know from asking around and from Dethmold the father had something to do with demons. If you spent time in the graveyard you'd realize there are only 2 sisters and a brother and the specture is lying.

Anyway, I digress, as others said. Threads like this are stupid when players are blaming the tool when they are the fool who didn't use common sense.

The possibility of failing a quest in this series is not a bug. It's a feature. You make choices that have consequences.

Agreed. The only major quest bugs in this game are bad choices and lack of common sense from the player so far I've seen.

i don't see any reason why some of these people can't admit that they can't figure things out and resort to excuses like "bad game design" or "bug"

perhaps they're just extremely insecure.
