Recently I got a new laptop that has a 660M, which I figured could run this game just fine, seeing as its min. req. is an 8800. And it does - until I enter any sort of menu (e.g. pressing Tab for Tutorial popups during the Tutorial section). The mouse is incredibly sluggish in menus, even with the game set to lowest settings (no Ubersampling and VSync).

Much more graphics intensive scenes (such as running through forests) generates no lag at all, leading me to wonder if I'm missing something. I've already tried adding :

MouseSmoothness=0
Smoothness=0

to the [MouseInput] section in User.ini but that didn't do anything.

Suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I'm sorry that I don't have a solution except for what worked for me: buying or upgrading your computer way above the recommended specs.

The problem seems to be that rather than just using your hardware mouse cursor (which would be as swift and snappy as you are used to), the game renders the mouse cursor itself (software mouse, a hallmark of a computer game designed with consoles in mind).

This means even though FPS and performance might be just fine, the mouse will be sloooooooow like dragging it through syrup unless you are at low resolution or have a powerful rig.

I don't mean to be unhelpful, but if there are lack of answers at least there will be some explanation.
What helped for me was simply turning off vsync, made the game, the cutscenes and even the menu run considerably better.
