goopit: I didn't rush through the game or anything. It actually just took a day to get everything.

AudreyWinter: Huh... doesn't that kind of contradict itself? I know I am slow, but I haven't finished my 2nd run... in 7 weeks. I do ctd a lot, though...
I'm on my 3rd play-through and I guess it's possible if you play on Easy and skip most/all cut-scenes and side-quests (since they wouldn't affect your endings anyway).

I'd call that rushing, though. ;)
I'm gonna try to do a speed run the next time, but I can already see how I get lost in the details again (last time I needed three day to finish the prologue, ha). You basically can't be bothered with picking up crafting materials or doing monster quests, hence missing crafting parts and source of income. If you neither do side-quests, nor have any money, you don't get nice equipment. And skipping dialog is out of the question, i really need my Geralt fix. :D
I'll try and find a compromise and see how long it'll take me.
Hmm, is there a valid link to a pic of this flowchart? Searches only link to ones that are disabled, or the pic is to small/blurry to make out.
Thanks in advance.

It took me three days to finish the Prologue the first time too. ;) (Playing for about 2 hours a night.) Then I promptly restarted because I learned about the Abilities and realised I'd forgotten to smash up the Training Dummies in the camp.

I'm aiming to strike a balance between being thorough and being "in character". During my first Prologue run-through, I went into every single house and searched them thoroughly for loot (being the compulsive pack rat that I am), but that feels very out of character for Geralt. (Especially if I decline a reward for saving them, only to turn around and loot all their valuables from their house right where they're watching. XD)

So... I'm trying it again, but I'll restrain myself from robbing peasants blind and only loot things which lie on my direct path while doing quests. (So, no heading into the monastery's basement and stealing all of their treasures before following Foltest to the solar either.)
Congrats, Goopit :)

I saw the official notification on the Witcher site and FB

Congratulations! :)

If I were hunting all the endings, I would've rushed through/skipped scenes and dialogues that I have already seen and stay for what's new and unique for that play-through. Taking your time with each run would've taken more than a day, that's for sure :)

Prologue isn't that long. I'm doing my 'official' play-through right now, looting everything, talking to everyone, not skipping anything etc. and it took me about 2-3 hours. It's easier when you know where everything is and where to go without getting lost all the time (my sense of direction is poor so I did get lost a lot the first time around :P).
Congratulations!!

The contest said nothing about how you complete all 16 endings. So in my view it stands.

@ dnna

I can relate to the directionally challenged! Sista??

Damn, does your Geralt have a constant leg cramp or something? He must be moving at a snail's pace.

Me too. I'd say that we should all start a club for those with no sense of direction, but we'd all just get lost on the way to the club meetings.

OP: you can haz respect for being a beast at Witcher 2.

My 'clicking' fingers have cramps. Although I think AudryWinters' Geralt is probably nekkid somewhere ALOT. =P

How will we know we're lost if we do not know where we are? Could we be where we are supposed to be? Philosophy anyone? XD

All hail Guipit!

Many congrats, Goopit - great job at figuring this all out, and many thanks for letting us know the paths.

Now, since you seem to go by 2 nicks - which one is correct? Guipit or Goopit? Enquiring minds want to know...

I mean I didn't rush through playing the game and completed the 2 major paths without skipping anything and even played through the same path a few times and finished all the sidequests. and when I found out about how to do the endings I already had the appropriate save files so I only had to really play through chapter 3 and a bit of chapter 2.
Seams the announcement has disappeared from the community page?
Congrats goopit! =D

No, it didn't. There are still some minor problems with the website due to the data migration but they will be gone by next week.
