Hello all, just want some quick advice on how well people think my computer could run TW2 (well, I know how well it can run it (not very), I'm looking at upgrading and want peoples opinions.

I have 2 gig of DDR2 800Mhz ram, I will upgrade this to 4gig of DDR2 800mhz ram.
I have one Nvidia 9600 GT OC (BFG), I am thinking of getting a 2nd and SLI-ing it.

My CPU is a q6600 model. I think my RAM will be fine once upgraded (unless anyone thinks I should up it to eight gigs?)
My main question is how well do people think a pair of Nvidia 9600 GTs will run TW2?

Added to my troubles, BFG are no longer making graphics cards and I can't find any 9600 GTs by BFG. How similar do graphics cards have to be to SLI them? Will any 9600 work fine, what about 8800 or 9800?

On my Q6600 @3ghz, 4GB DDR800 ram and a HD5850, the game ran pretty good at high/ultra settings @1680x1050.

The 9600GT is below the minimum system requirements and adding another is only going have you just barely meeting the minimum GPU requirements.
I really would look for something better, as you're going to be disappointed.

If you don't have a lot of money, a HD6850 or an nVidia equivalent (GTX 460) would be a very nice upgrade if you want to run this game rather smoothly. A 8800GT/9800GT isn't going to cut it if you want to play at higher resolutions and/or higher than minimum detail levels.

The game is very bandwith hungry, so I wouldn't go with a 7770 or 550ti.

My monitor is a 24 inch, 1920 by 1200, I should not be surprised that I need an expensive card to run TW2 at high spec.

Side question, I was looking at HD, will my monitor work at HD at 1920 by 1200 because when I was looking at the HD specs it only showed 1920 by 1080 as being available under HD.

I couldn't say. My monitor is only 1680x1050, so 1920x1200 is logically unavailable to me.

Wait, what? HD is typically anything above 1280x720. Are you asking if it'll work at 1920x1200? It does, if that's the question. When people talk about HD they usually mention 16:9 resolutions like 1920x1080 since that's more or less the standard, but 16:10 resolutions like yours are supported by the game just as well. Even if they weren't, however, it wouldn't cease to be HD—basically everything on the PC these days is HD. It's not some special "better" thing. Just the name given to resolutions above 1280x720.

That's what I thought, that HD is HD, as long as my screen and graphics card support it. But then when I was looking at the nvidia control panel, half the resolution were listed as HD but not the other half. Which confused me a bit.
