unfortunately since we didn't have to download it, I don't find it in the folders of the game...:(

drosea1: On the official Witcher 2 site it states that the game automatically patches to 1.1 during installation, which it has done for me also. So, i doubt you are on patch 1.0. I wish they would make patch 1.0 available separately.

revial: The GoG version, at no time, since it was already DRM free, has to activate or connect to the internet. He's most definitely back to 1.0 if his Launcher reverted to Video and Languages instead of Options.

I realize you may be grouchy, but please do not spread misinformation out of spite.
It is not misinformation. Go and un-install your game, then install it again, and it WILL install patch 1.1. Whether you think i'm grouchy or not will not change that fact. And why would i have spite in me? I'm having the same issue. Please, if you're having an emotional day, don't come on this forum and judge others according to your "high" standards.

He's already said it worked and reverted to 1.0. GoG version is different from retail. I know you're frustrated because your version of the game can't roll back. That doesn't mean the GoG version can't. It can.

If someone could upload the GOG 1.0 Bin folder (its 20 megs or so) I think that would be a place to start. At least I can see what files are different and maybe workout a work around

Cryocore: Can anyone post the 0-day patch somewhere? If its included in the GOG is it able to be made available to those of us who cant roll back?
The 0 day patch was intentionally not made available on its own to prevent the game being playable before launch day. Because of this I don't think it is possible to play the retail version at 1.0 anymore, since you need to either patch with 1.1 to make the game work or let the auto-downloader grab 1.1 by itself. In other words, 1.0 kind of no longer exists.

Anyway, there is no pop-in bug. The game always had really close pop-in for certain things. It's a placebo... you update the game and then look closely for changes and see the pop-in that was already there. I tested this myself and reverted back to 1.0, then 1.1, comparing identical pop-in spots. They were the same.

Not the case at all.

Its the very first thing I noticed, I wasnt expecting any visual/performance changes. I had 60+fps at Ultra settings and Ubersampllng. Shadows are now popping in along with various bit and pieces (puddles, foliage, textures on structures, etc) This isnt my imagination they're so blatant there is no chance I missed them before.

Oh yes, you certainly did miss it before, because I and several others have tested it and the pop-in is exactly the same.

Go ahead and ignore me though and spend a ton of time figuring out how to get back to 1.0. Just don't expect anything to change.

To the point where walking up to any high wall all of a sudden draws in a shadow that makes everything darker just as I approach it? Not a chance. This isnt a slight change is glaringly obvious. Has this happened before patching I would be logging it as a bug. Im not just talking about foliage but textures and shadows. I notice these things and to play 20+ hours and not see them isnt possible at all.
