I have located all the bodies for the rotfiend quest but can't burn the last body, the one close to the stream, outside of the fort. This seems like a glitch in the game? Is there a workaround for this at all?

What part of the 'main quest' are you (maybe a quest is locking other quests out)?
Have you tried to burn in after meditating?
Have you tried to load an earlier save just to check if there is any difference (by trying to burn that body first)?

Did you burn the bodies in the other areas, too, or just the ones near the front gate?

I've noticed that even if you burn the bodies, when you leave the area they will revert to their non-burned look but you can't burn them again.

I would visit each of the three sites and double check the three bodies at each to make sure you didn't miss one.

Yes, I have tried to burn it after mediation. Didn't work. it's just one body that has this nonburned look. I have tried casting Igni directly on the body and throwing a bomb at it. Didn't work.

Hmm, it really does seem like some other quest is locking you out of the side quest :|.
Are you sure you''ve burned the bodies which are behind the tower? (one of the bodies are far away from the rest - closest to vergen on the map)

it isn't 3 bodies at each site.
there is a site with just 1 body. took me a long time to find it

I'm having the same problem. For some reason, I can't burn the third body behind the follower's camp (the place with the whorehouse). Is there a solution to this?

you have to pick up the quest first

then you burn the bodies, they will turn pinkish and skeletal.

after you've burned all the bodies, there's about 12 or so from what i remember, the game will notify you that you've finished the quest.

You didn't read OPs posts did you :p.

Not all bodies in the area are part of the quest I suggest you have a roam about and see if you can't find another.

Found 3 near the broken caravan, 3 on the way to followers and 2 near the site behind brothel. That's 8/9, what am I missing?

There's one more behind the brothel.. Use your medallion. What do you mean you can't burn the last one? Do you mean you are getting the eye and use prompt but the body doesn't burn, or you are not getting the eye and use prompt?

Body that can't be burn is def. a bug, happened to me as well. Only loading previous save helped me.
