Roche's Path:

Just got the Arbitrator Sword from a skeleton in a pond some ways off the Kaedwen Camp. Although to get there I killed a bunch of Endregas and some other huge thing (forgot the name though).

PROBLEM: The Endregas does NOT spawn back anymore. Thus, no 'Endrega Saliva' for making Fire Runes. Thus, both my steel and silver swords are empty and much powerless.

I tried meditating here, there, everywhere. I meditated 24 HOURS each in both the lower and upper army camp, the Mage Gloves' ravines, inside the Ban Ard armor caves, beside the Rotfiend wagon corpses... and after each meditation I go back to the 'supposedly' Endredga Lair and find it empty.

Pure and unfathomably EMPTY.

Sometimes after you solve some quest the local monsters (for lack of a better word) simply don't respawn anymore. For example the Nekkers in the Ostmurk cave. Nothing you can do at this point, but might I suggest using Ysgirth runes? It does not have incineration + resistance like the fire rune but it has higher damage (+7% damage and +10% chance to cause bleeding)
No they do spawn back, the Endregas, guards and warriors.

The Arachas does not though, its a one time only one, you kill it and its dead forever.

He is talking about Act 2 though. I remember being in his shoes (with regards to the "extinct" Endregas and not the fire runes)

Hmmm... well the +10% Incineration per Rune is a whole lot of help. Specially since once they're burning they'll just flail around begging to be killed harmlessly while bleeding off health.

I really want those Fire Runes *sob*

Ah yes, the Arachas. I killed it. I'm wondering if that's the reason why the Endregas are gone though... Nah. I'm just darn unlucky. I have this glitch no one has ever encountered.

Do you guys have any suggestions? The Rotfiends and Harpies are spawning like crazy though.

Yes Rotfiends and Harpies do not stop spawning. I guess your only option is to buy the Fire Runes (!!!!). Not sure which path you are on, but I completed a quest there (where the Aracha is) and never seen any Endrega since.

Hmm thats unusual alright. The Arachas in chapter 2 is definately a one time only..but ive personally been swarmed by Endregas around that area a few times since killing that Arachas.

Perhaps you should try advancing a quest or two before going back?

Ive personally encountered such oddities aswell, not with Endregas..but with other monsters in differant chapters that i like to hunt. For instance,i enjoy fighting the Drowners that spawn on the rivers edge of Lobinden during the early parts of chapter 1 because they can pose a challenge at that stage.

However if i saved just before spawning them..then died during the fight and reloaded, they would no longer appear again no matter how many times i 24h meditated. Eventually they would return though, after some questing or doing something else.

It doesnt happen all the time of course..but perhaps that is what you are experiencing with the Endregas in chapter 2?
If you're desperate for fire runes, Mr. Mysterious Merchant sells 'em.

Haha thanks a bunch! I was actually bothered by the lack of Endregas only because of the Fire Runes crafting ingredient they provide.

I just bought my fill of those Runes and I'm completely satisfied now haha.

Although I do hope the Endregas come back after some quests... I kinda miss them. Those big furry butterflies.
Yes Act 2 Roche's path, the endrigas do repawn, even after you take the abrbitrator and kill the arachas
They respawn, even after completing the Contract. Can't say as I got "Swarmed" though as I don't consider two or three at a time a swarm. You don't see them as often for sure.
Is the +10% inceneration best type of fire runes in the game?

If I add 3 to weapon thats + 30% can u get better later on in the game?

I can't say with certainty, but I've never come across any higher than 10% each in several playthroughs.
You can purchase fire runes from the mysterious merchant. If money's a problem either download the Price Rebalance mod or just engage in fistfights and arm wrestling games till you make enough.
And also, if this helps, respawns are reliable after leaving the area (e.g., go into Flotsam) and then waiting 24 hours. Good areas to check for spawns include the areas where the cocoons are, the Veyopatis shrine area, and outside of the nonhuman district exit of Flotsam. For a while I thought that respawns were curtailed after completing the endrega contract quest, but I can't say for sure if this matters (you do get fewer nekkers after their contract is completed though).
