The third opponent for the quest "Poker Face: Flotsam" seems to disappear after the towards the end of the chapter making the quest impossible to finish. I discovered this when I started the end quest as I got a "Quest failed" note which made me reload back a few minutes to finish off the quest. No dwarf in sight.

It's possible that you hit a bug or other glitch of some sort, but all NPCs have their own daily schedules, so he won't hang around in one place all of the time. Maybe his AI took him for a walk? I've run across several sidequest NPCs doing that, but it's been to my advantage rather than loss. Hope you find him.

Same thing happened to me. He and the blacksmith dwarf went missing.
Yeah, the blacksmith was gone as well. I'm wondering if all non-humans disappeared after that quest since I can't remember seeing any other dwarfs, but I can't see why they would be gone. I just said balls to it and continued with the main quest instead so I can't go back and check.
Well, the humans just slaughtered the non humans in town, so yea. Two dwarves. Missing. Hrm. ;p

As for the book keeper (your opponent) he goes for walks a lot, so he's definitely not always found in or near his house while still alive.
It doesn't matter who you supported, one way or another all the non-humans leave town so if you want to complete them it has to be BEFORE that Letho fight.
I had no idea that even happened, can't remember anything like that being mentioned by any of the characters.
This is messed up, though.

Sure, if you choose to go with Iorveth the nonhumans in Flotsam get slaughtered so it makes sense they are gone. However if you choose Roche there is a big feast in the marketplace - and that's it.

Maybe the devs somehow forgot to differentiate these two storylines for these NPCs?
Yeah, I went with Roche and I feel there's no reason why all the non-humans are gone.

...

Er....the slaughter occurs BEFORE you make a choice between the two sides. So, nothing you said makes any sense. :p
I think the slaughter happens if you give Iorveth his sword in the fight at the temple. I didn't and nothing refers to this happening at all in my game.

I'm not sure what you mean, but I also did not give Iorveth his sword, and Einar and the blacksmith are missing for me, though there are other dwarves walking around town.

This. Depending on whether you help Iorveth out in the elven rose garden, there will either be a massacre of non-humans or a celebration in town.

According to some players, apparently in both cases the blacksmith and book-seller go missing.
I am also experiencing this problem.

It seems like the solution is to roll back to a previous save which is a bit tedious.
Ok, this is the most frustrating thing I've met this night. A hard fight against Letho only to learn I went through the game too fast and screwed up not one but at least two quests (the poker dice and Melitele's Heart).
