I hope my english is good enough. ;)

I played the Witcher 2 now for a couple of hours without any problems (60-80 FPs) with everything set to high or Ultra and DOF-settings turned off.

But now, everytime i try to leave the cave where you have to kill the bandits for the quest mentionned in topic, my screen turns black and then the program shuts down. What could this be?

My specs: GTX 480
i5 760 CPU
4 gigs Ram
win 7 64bit

You can leave the cave on two ways: with a boat and by simply walking out. Have you already tried both?

I assume that you also already picked up you gear again. Maybe loading an earlier savegame (before you follow him to the cave or maybe even before you accepted the quest) and trying again will help.

could it have to do something with the fact that its raining when leaving the cave? Friend of mine said that it´s raining after leaving. Yes i already picked up my gear. i will try loading an earlier save.

I managed to load a save from before the cave. Now i did the fight club quest and tomorrow i´ll try the "cavequest" ;) i´ll inform you then. Have to go to bed now.

So i managed to play beyond that quest because i chose another way to solve the quest. without going to that cave. But now i have the crash suddenly when it begins to rain. Oo what could this be?

My video driver is always crashing when it is raining :(. I disabled rain in the config, but there are some circumstances where it starts to rain anyway (like when you leave the cave in act 1 or at the end of act 1) and than the driver after 5-60 seconds :(.

Edit: Geforce GTX 280M and the newest driver btw. Is there any way to disable the rain completely?
Only happens in Witcher 2 btw.

Didn't know about the boat?? I went to a black screen also and it kicked me to desktop(Win7 -only occured once) I reloaded my save and all was go. Try rebooting to clear your video cache and reload maybe??
