Finish playing the Witcher 2 and I can say despite this game feeling way shorter then the first Witcher I'm still amazed by the quality of it and the feeling of the world is very immersive, I made my choices some that I felt like that I was in the right while others were ambiguous/poor choices. And I feel like asking to see what others think of my choices I made including others in the Forum.

Witcher 1
Neutral Ending- Siegfried and Yaevinn killed
Saved Adda.

Witcher 2 Prologue
Killed Aryan- Didn't think he would surrender.

Chapter 1
Punched Iorveth- Why would I help the guy who done nothing but show disdain to me, while Roche is a dick he's the guy that helped you get out of prison, and is a relatively good guy later on.

Chose Roche- See reason above.

Chapter 2
Killed King Henselt- Scumbag, didn't like him after he killed a priest trying to stop a fight in a specific area, tried to give him the benefit of the doubt that was until he raped Ves and felt like he would lead his kingdom to ruin, it was only after letting Roche kill him did I realize that maybe it wasn't such a good idea as there is now only one strong king left.

Chapter 3
Chose Triss- I would not leave a friend/lover behind plus I believed she knew alot of the conspiracies that was happening and would bring a new order of mages, plus I didn't like the Nilfgaardians and butchering their camp was somewhat satisfying. I felt bad for not saving Anais as well but Roche saved her and not killing Dethmold but such is the small price to pay for the greater good, and that made me breath slightly easier and I believe he would take good care of her, so I believe I was in the right.

Saved Sile- She helped me as much as conspired against me, although now I dont count the two assassins since I let Roche kill Henselt, yet when she was being ripped apart by her own devices I felt pity and really bad for allowing it to happen, if I decided her fate by sword point that would have been a whole different story perhaps. So I saved her and she told me about Yennefer, although that was well known, plus she might reconsider her allegiance to the lodge, if not there will not be a second chance with her no matter how outrageously hot she is.

Killed the Dragon- The dragon is a medieval weapon of mass destruction and under the spell of Phillipa who I never met, and killing the Dragon/ later I learned as Saskia would thwart any of the lodges plan and stop thousands of other people from being burnt alive. But with Stennis dead automatically from ghost mist, Henselt killed and Saskia killed I realize I have made many questionable decisions and wonder what will become of the northern kingdoms.

Killed Letho- This is the second most difficult decision I made in this game, yet the evil he would bring in the world would be far to great to let him go, yet he was a more personable character and helped me a lot in the past, and this was a proper way for a witcher to go and not by some chance or accident like Sile, and him working for the White Flame to restore the school of the viper so nilfgaard can use them, not going to happen. I was not satisfied by his death as it had to be done.

And I wonder despite all my good intentions, I have seemed to have done more harm then good. What do you think?

I think you tend to make your choices based on personal feeling rather than political motives (of course nothing wrong with that).

I think either way the game is to end the northern kingdoms are in deep ##it and would have a great difficulty defend themselves from the invasion.

I think that siding with Iorveth and so fighting under Saskia for independence to the Pontar Valley is much more nobler, certainly better than working for Henselt.

Even if you didn't choose to save Triss, she would still be rescued by Letho (but I agree with you that butchering the Nilfgaardians was one of the more fun parts of the game).
A lot of good points you have there and I felt like I made choices based on personal decisions rather than political choices, and I forget to mention.

Roche's path- Loredo was asking for it.

And I welcome anyone to post there choices here.
Completed the game yesterday for the first time, and interestingly enough we appear to have made very similar choices, for much the same reasons.

Witcher 1: Neutral path, saved Adda. Romanced Shani.

Saved Aryan (killed him first, then figured, what the heck, maybe he'll not suicide on my sword..?)

Chose Roche. He seemed like a reasonable guy, helped me get out of prison, and Iorveth was a bit of a douche

Killed Henselt. Couldn't stand that guy, he obviously wanted the North to himself, and when he raped Ves and it turned out he colluded with the Black Ones... good riddance. Soon after I realise it may not have been the wisest of decisions, but great evil deserves to die, so he did.

Also helped out Iorveth when he was besieged, though I'm not sure how much that mattered.

Chose Triss. But I never found Roche anywhere, so this was more of an accident than a conscious choice. Would have tried to save her anyway, though. We have a special relationship, and I helped that Roche bint out of the camp anyway. Felt very good to slaughter the Nilfgaardian camp, just a shame Dethmold got away.

Saved Sile. One of those idiotic timer decisions. Would have been nice to see her torn apart or whatever might have happened, but she did sort of help me out a bit as well, so I figured it may be seen as the lesser evil. Not a great turn of events for her anyway...

Killed the dragon. Didn't know this was Saskia, and I was surprised I never saw her again after the short meeting in the tunnels. It was a little tempting to let it live, but it had been causing so much carnage, and would again if it recovered from that 'splinter', so I thought it would be the lesser evil, by some distance.

Killed Letho. We had a nice chat and he revealed a lot, but I didn't seriously consider letting him live. He had caused so much trouble, colluding with Nilfgaard and slaying kings, and was bound to become an issue again if he was free to go back to Emhyr and company. We also had unfinished business after the preposterously unfair fight against him earlier on, and it felt good to be able to kick his butt now.

Suppose I ought to try out the Iorveth path now, to see how that changes the game and events, but may be a bit Witchered out for the time being. And not at all looking forward to those idiotic fights against the Kayran and Letho.

Wish there was a neutral path, as to me that is kind of what Geralt is about. Choose the lesser evil, and be as neutral as possible.
