Hi! I just want to refresh Witcher serie and I have small problem. I bought digital edition of Witcher 2 Enhanced Edition on the online shop (cdp.pl) and I have it on "my shelf" on the shop site. I would like to add this game to my GOG library because of convenience (everything in one place ready to download and up to date) and as I know I can redeem free copy of the game by my cd-key but... where is cd-key in digital edition? :D
I download the game from the shop site and tried to open it via GOG but it's like foreign game for the aplication - so it's only attached not in my library. I tried also "find GOG game" from settings, but it doesn't work also.
Do you have any solution? Or where to find cd-key in digital edition? :D
I asked cdp.pl for my cd-key but week passed and they didn't respond.

Hi Selka.

Is this the product you have purchased?

https://cdp.pl/wiedzmin-2-zabojcy-krolow-2-pud-pc.html

If yes, the description mentions that it was sent to you in a box, containing a physical copy of the game and a keycode.
If not, please do clarify how you got the digital copy of the game and where it mentions that it included a keycode.

Cheers.

No, unfortunatly it's only digital copy, I didn't buy box copy. I can see that now there is no possibility to buy only digital version on cdp.pl. When I download the game from the site, it just worked.
I would post screenshot, but I don't know why, I can't attache here png and jpg neither.

Hi Selka.

You can't upload images because in order to do that your account needs to have at least 5 reputation points.
It is primitive and obsolete system, since the GOG.com forums where founded.

We can easily get around that by getting you to 5+ reputation points provided you answer the question in this thread.
https://www.gog.com/forum/the_witcher_2/simple_question_to_enable_a_fellow_forum_member_to_attach_images

Concerning the keycode, if you were granted one when buying the digital version of The Witcher 2, it might be mentioned somewhere in your account's orders tab.

Cheers.

You have to insist on asking them for a key, then you can claim your GOG copy here. I'm not familiar with cdp.pl but I think they have to provide a key: even the Steam version comes with it and can be claimed here.

Actually after getting higher rep I still can't attach images :(
Anyway I thougt that when I'm buying the game on legal shop I'm granted the cd-key :D
I can't see anywhere on my cdp.pl accout information like that, that's why I thought that cd-key can be hide in some readme files in game. But I don't know where exacly to look and didn't find one after blind looking.

The images you want to attach must be under 1MB in size.
If they exceed that limit you can use this online tool to compress them.

It was. Now its 50 kB - it works :P
Screenshots 1-3 shows how it looks like on my accout. Its "my shelf" for games (1st one). When I want to download game, I have this list of part files that I have to download and install (2nd one). 3rd one is confirmation of my order on the site. Screenshot 4 is a game launcher that told me that I can get free copy on GOG :P
If you need I can translate something if you are not Pole

I am sorry for the delayed reply.

Thank you for offering to translate. Fortunately there was no issue translating the most important parts I needed to take a look at, in order to understand how purchases on the cdp.pl website work.

On GOG.com and Steam, if a game comes with a key, it can be found under a section of tthe game's library tab, as mentioned in the below articles:

https://support.gog.com/hc/en-us/articles/360010674374-Neverwinter-Nights-Enhanced-Edition-Where-to-find-the-key-?product=gog
for GOG.com

and

https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/5B87-5887-9E13-61D1
for Steam.

Judging from what I can gather, based on the screenshots you provided, there is no keycode made available, through the website, while the game's launcher implies that such a keycode should exist, in order to claim your free GOG.com copy.

The matter is, that the game's launcher displays the same message at the bottom, with no regard to the store where you bought the game from, in physical or digital form.
I own the game on GOG.com and Steam and the launcher does display the same message for both versions.
Purchasing the physical copy of the game, came with a printed keycode, while the Steam license included a digital keycode, both activatable on GOG.com.

At his point I have to conclude, that either your digital purchase does not really include a keycode, activatable on GOG.com, despite what the game's launcher displays (it could be that cdp.pl is treated as GOG.com's exclusive to Poland store), or it will be eventually issued after contacting the store's support team.

Since cdp.pl is a native business, giving them a call, in order to directly inquire about the issue, could be a viable course of action.
One that I strongly suggest and I personally prefer, when available

Cheers.

Thanks. Looks like I should wait for the answer from cdp.pl or ask GOG.com's support (which would be the best option since cdp.pl doen't respond). Or buy the game on Steam or GOG if I want it on their digital library :P
Thank youo for your time and patience.
Cheers :)

It was a pleasure being of assistance to you Selka.

In my experience, GOG.com support team's response to a submitted ticket, can take from a couple of days to a couple of weeks.
If you choose to contact the GOG.com support team, I suggest using their support form, found here:

https://support.gog.com/hc/pl/requests/new?form=other&product=gog

or contact them directly (working days), via private messaging
(you will have to enable private messages from your account's privacy settings,
"Orders and Settings"->"Privacy"->"Allow Chat Messages From"->"Everyone")
a staff member that has helped me bunches.

https://www.gog.com/u/ponczo_

In either case, I believe it is best to first submit a support ticket, before you make any further inquiries, while you will also have to take into consideration that GOG.com support might not be able to help you with a purchase made in another store, even if it is a "relative" one.
If you can spare the time, you could try giving cdp.pl a call (https://cdp.pl/kontakt/), in order to try to speed things up on their side.

Cheers.
