After I collect the eyes and heart to trick the wraith in Claws of Madness, the wraith refuses to talk to me after I head back down (doesn't matter what I get, butcher or nekkers). If I lure the two guys down to be killed by the wraith it works fine. It simply will not allow me to initiate dialogue. The "press left click to talk" image simply does not appear when the wraith is kneeling over his own corpse when I have the eyes and heart in my inventory.

Any ideas? I've tried reloading previous saves and nothing seems to help.

Did you tell the duo that the wraith wants them dead? If you did so, you won't be able to just give the wraith the nekker eyes and hearts.

You have to talk to the duo to get the quest for the heart and eyes. I noticed some odd occurrences such as the health bar to the wraiths do not show up in the area (edit: apparently it doesn't show up at all! And the dialogue stopped working... time to reinstall :( ). Also, looking at playthough videos, I noticed the game allowed the player to continue to speak to the wraith after first talking to him.

Seems like my game is definitely bugged :(

Sounds like a bug to me. Does the journal update when you get the organs? As in 2/2 collected or something like that?

Journal updates fine. It reports 2/2 collected and that I need to see the wraith. The quest marker is correctly positioned right on the wraith. I finished reinstalling the game as well. That didn't do anything. I'm doing the quest after speaking with Loredo, I wonder if that changes anything.
Mayhap you are having the same issue described in this thread?

You may have to do the whole quest over again from a previous save or worse - start over :(

Yes! I could still talk to the other NPCs, but the fix in that thread did the trick. I had to remove the AMD CAP5 and disable Crossfire. I'll try turning it back on after this and will hope it doesn't happen again. Thanks!
I had the same problem and I can confirm that this is indeed the solution!
Every other NPC seemed to work just fine, so I didn't think it could be that problem...

I was using AMD 11.6 drivers with 11.5 CAP 5 profiles.
I removed the profiles, turned Catalyst A.I. all the way down in the catalyst control center and started The Witcher 2 in windowed mode after a reboot (just to be safe).

I may have done a few extra steps, but I just wanted to share what worked for me :)
Everything is fine now, so thanks for the help!

(I'm turning Crossfire back on too since it's the only time it gave me this problem, if it will happen again I'll know what to do...)
