Just wondering.
I never played the first game.
I went around wiki but just wondering what you guys would consider as the best way to go over what happens to the first game that I should know for the story of the second? (especially character wise, it's like I'm supposed to know some people and I don't)
Or is wiki really the best summary?
Like I mentionned, it really is just to get infos that will fill me in for the 2nd game

(sorry, this was written in 3 different shots, I think I repeated myself a bit, lunch time. lol)

Wiki is best. The only relevant things are character introductions.

I would also hunt down and read at least The Last Wish if at all possible.

English is second language but I am sure it was either translated or I can find it in a specialized store.

In case I look for a translated version, is it part of a series? If yes, is it like the first, the second, etc? Thans a lot!

The series only has two books translated to English, and they're not even in the correct chronological order. The Publisher skipped a book.

You can find both:

The Last Wish <-----Read first
Blood of Elves

on Google Books to read for free. They both help to shed light on things to allow a better grasp and appreciation for the story in the game, since the video game story is an extension of the book stories (ie: it's happening after the events of the books).

I'd normally suggest buying them, but since the english publisher is so incredibly inept, just read them online and hope some other publisher gains the rights for the rest of the books in the series.

Thanks a lot, especially considering I am in Quebec, where books in english can be sometime hard to find. ;)

Quebec? Is French your first language, then? Because it was translated into French as "Le Dernier Vœu".

since you are from Quebec and English is not your first language i assume you speak french as i do , look for books from Bragelonne (publisher) they have maybe 4-5 books translated in french , the first to read is Le Dernier Voeu, good books btw
