When I use Berserker mode the graphic effects that accompany it persist even after Berserker wears off.

It only goes away when I meditate or when I load a game.

It's quite annoying because it ruins the immersion by having throbbing green veins pulsate and the screen getting fuzzy.

Please tell me this is not as intended.

Is there a quick fix to this, like by deleting a file that causes the effects?

It is actually the same display that you get when you are poisoned. It is annoying alright. Did you try going into a new area (where it loads new zone) or just open and close the character screen... I forgot which one gets rid of the poisoned display.
It happens with me also. So I pretty much just don't upgrade it for the moment. I can't stomach reloading every time I do a group finisher. I had hoped patch 1.2 would fix it. It does not..
So it happens when you use other adrenaline based moves too? It sucks, Berserker is a nice skill.

You can disable the blur by editing your user.ini file and setting "AllowBlur" to 0. That turns off only the blurs for being drunk or poisoned.
Also, I believe the effect is meant to persist for as long as you are poisoned with an elixir. I don't think it's a bug.

I'm pretty sure that if you have the mutant talent then you will always use berserk along with whatever other finisher you've got, whenever you have full adrenaline and activate the move.

But as khasim say, the only thing you can do for now is pretty much just to disable blur effects (which won't get rid of the green ripples - but IMHO the blur is by far the worst; really hurts the eyes to look at for too long) or meditate whenever you've used berserk.

I'd have a hard time believing this isn't a bug...and if it isn't, it still needs to be fixed.

If you drink a swallow potion, there are no screen effects. They only appear after you use berserk. It'd make no sense for it to persist until the potion wore off as long as your toxicity level isn't too high.

I guess I'll just never use Berserk mode. Kinda sucks though, it was a decent move.
Yeah - pretty annoyed by this as well. Don't think this was intended by the devs. Just another thing to let them know to fix! Hopefully they can get rid of it!

Same problem here, fixing it with quicksave+reload so far.

Annoying as hell though, makes me not use Mutant 99% of the time since I can't be arsed doing the 20s+ reload every group.

What annoys me even more is that should be a simple fix (Mutant buff runs out -> cancel graphics), and it's 2 patches now and it's not patched. Considering how Alchemy is also criticized left, right and centre for being thought out in a bad way or just left unfinished (I like it, but I agree with most of the criticism about it being too numbers-based and seemingly more meant to work with how potions worked in TW1 than how they work in TW2), this seems to further fan the flames that no one among the developers actually knows about Alchemy. :s
