Subj. I'm thinking mainly about the elven prisoner who asks to be saved, saying she has a couple of children and so on. But there are several I would try to free, but haven't found the way to do so. I searched the whole dungeon, both routes and couldn't find how you can save those people. This is on a playthrough were I spared Ayran.

Well, that is really sad. I really hoped I could save them. This is my second playthrough so I am searching for things I didn't take notice or do on the first one. If anyone has managed to do so please tell me about it. May be others would be interested too.
You can only help Aryan LaValette if you didn't kill him earlier. You get +50 carry weight for doing it.
Unfortunately, no, you can't.

I thought it would be great to free some of the prisoners. Especially the man inside whose cell you can "peek" ; he curses at your rather profusely! I figured setting him loose along with everyone else would create one heck of a commotion, hence allowing you to escape while the guards were busy.

Go, selfish me.

And if you help Aryan, you can help the other prisoners shuffle of their mortal coil, if ya know what I mean.

: ) Yea, I just found out about a certain older, but still young looking aristocratic lady you can save in that dungeon. Seems a pity, but next time I will duel Aryan, so I can ogle his mother. : ) : ). Anyways the only thing he does later if you save him in the prologue is blow himself up and burn down a rather nice castle which will be needed on the approaching war with Nilfgard.

He, he. Aryan's explosive act was what I was referring to with shuffling off of the prisoners' mortal coils. They are free!
