OMG just happened upon this writeup for what looks to be the ultimate killer keyboard. Not for sale (yet)...For the Star Wars MMO out later this year.

What would you want patched in? The only thing that might require patching is the LCD screen of the track panel - but what would you want it to show in TW2? So, an (almost) definite 'no' to that.
The rest of the stuff (including the trackpanel's mouse function) seems to be typical driver-side stuff.
So, don't worry. It'll run just fine with The Witcher 2. Having a keyboard that requires patched-in support for every game to function would be absolutely ridiculous. ;)
