I hear many animals such as sheep, dogs, frogs, etc... however I have only seen crows and rats. Is this how the game is? I remember Witcher EE had tons of animals. Not a big deal I just would have like to see some more wildlife in the beautiful world of Witcher 2.

There are many mutagens in my inventory. I have no clue how or when to use them? The manual says to meditate and go to charecter to use mutagens however I see nothing in that menu relating to using mutagens.

I have successfully made the xbox 360 controller and ps3 controller(with motionjoy driver) work with the game. I would just like to know if officially through the game or through a mod can I program the xbox button, select button, and d-pad corner buttins (like northwest directon). I know I can use xpadder or pinnacle game profiler however I just want to know if there is a more offfcial/ easier way to do it.
Yes there are a lot of background animal sounds without the actual animals making them. I heard a lot of dogs and ducks in chapter 1 but never saw them in game. I haven't noticed it as much since then.

Mutagens can be slotted into certain abilities. They will have a small circle near them just like a weapon or piece or armor with upgrade slots. These are generally at the very end of a skill tree so you wont see them until you sink a fair amount of points into a given path. I would sell your lesser mutagens for cash and save the better ones to socket into abilities.

Not sure about your controller question as I have been playing the game with kb&m.

Aboout mutagens, only use greater or "unique" ones since those slots aren't reusable.
