I have no idea what it actually does, but I imagine it gives some passive buffs, like +% damage and resistance or vitality/vigour regen.

It certainly does something, but like most bonuses is not dramatic enough on its own. Coupled that with you can only get that bonus after buffing yourself anyway, that it is hard to tell the different between the beserk buff and the normal potion/poisoned buffs.

But I agree, some actual stats on what Beserk does would be nice.

The manual says Berserker LvL 1 adds 1% chance to instant kill. LvL 2 adds 2% chance.

So, it seems you would want to boost that chance a bit with more with items and potions. Might be fun. I know every 2 or 3% critical chance seems to make a big difference.

That's all? Hum, a bit dissapointing. I guess I should have upped those talents from the alchemy tree then, would have totalled 5%.

But no matter, by then I tore everyone apart anyway. :)

Yeah but thats not the talent im talking about :P

The talent is named "Mutant" and his descripiton is: Unlocks berserk mode,
activated after the
adrenaline bar charges.
Allows adrenaline generation
when intoxicated.
Sorry. Brain malfunctioning.

Realized what you meant after I posted it.

so how do you get intoxicated ?
swordmaster tree uses sword strikes, magic tree uses signs for generating adrenaline, what does the alchemy tree use ?
I'm curious since the game is so reliant on player skill I actually never use potions, only a few bombs and oils. there are many parts in the game where you cannot even meditate so I never put any points in the alchemy tree. but how does that "intoxicated" work ?
you just need to drink a potion and u get intoxicated

I haven't tried it yet, but it looks like just being intoxicated/poisoned generates adrenaline passively. That sounds kinda nice!
Yep just being poisoned makes you passively generate adrenaline when you're in combat.
Ah, ok. So we still don't know what "Beserk Mode" does.

It'd be nice if we were to be actual stats eventually.

Can you not hit an enemy without it, see how much damage you do, then use it, and see how much damage you do? With the combat log? I mean, I know there is variance, but if you do it enough times you'll get an accurate estimate.
Sadly i'm at work now and i can't try... gonna do it when i return home :)
I googled a bit and it appears to be a 30% increase to damage (seems to be sword damage only)

Well i'm really dissapointed, the sword master and mage special ability are so much better :(

To be fair, this 30% applies to bosses, where as the group finisher cannot be used on bosses. That makes it far more useful imo.
