Hello and good dawn/morning/noon/day/evening/night/midnight to you, GOG.

I have a question to ask in regards to possible differences between GOG's offering of "Enhanced Edition" of first Witcher and Steam's "Director's Cut" rendition of it, which is supposedly "update 1.5" while non-Director's Cut is version "1.4", so what I'm wondering is: why GOG doesn't offer Director's Cut of Enhanced Edition of the first game for the purchase? GOG is CDPR's digital distribution service, a first party that directly delivers it's own in-house built gaming products, but why only Steam (a third party) has Director's Cut of Enhanced Edition while GOG only has just the non-Director's Cut Enhanced Edition to offer for the purchase?

Can someone here explain thoroughly/in detail to me why this is happening and maybe also as well fully list what are all the differences that the Director's Cut has over the non-Director's Cut version of Enhanced Edition of first Geralt game (if there's any differences at all, that is. It's supposed to be "update version 1.5 vs 1.4", after all, so there might be some significant changes taking place in Director's Cut release in comparison to the non-Director's Cut state of Enhanced Edition. Since "1.5" is greater than "1.4", I assume that Director's Cut is the most latest update to the game, so it probably should be better than the non-Director's Cut Enhanced Edition state of the game in some way)? I simply try to avoid purchasing an "inferior" release that might have less content, even despite the fact that GOG's versions in general don't have DRM of any kind (while Steam's games usually do, unless developers themselves remove them later). Tanks in advance to anyone for any decent answers provided in regards to these questions of mine.

GOG's version is also the Director's Cut (note the banner at the game store page), so you'll be getting the most updated one. I just checked the installer, it's 1.5. :)

That's just the background image/wallpaper, though? Nowhere on the game's page (aside from the aforementioned image) does it mention/state any that it's actually a Director's Cut release. I mean - the title is clearly "Enhanced Edition" (with no "Director's Cut" added to the text), there's no info whatsoever on any of the changes/differences from the standard "non-Director's Cut" Enhanced Edition or even from the bare "vanilla" Geralt game, and even the url/link itself has just the "the_witcher" in the address bar, without any "enhanced_edition" or "directors_cut" whatsoever. This is confusing as all hell. It's a total mess, in my humble personal opinion.

Yes, there should probably be an explicit mention in the game card, although I don't think the non-Director's Cut edition is sold anywhere anymore.

Anyway, I should have mentioned earlier that on GOG you can get The Witcher for free if you download first GWENT (also free): https://www.gog.com/gwent-welcome-bonus
Tanks for heads up.

That is actually pretty interesting, considering that GWENT has LITERALLY JUST CAME OUT ON STEAM, lol. I wonder if Steam has this offer available as well/would allow to get EE's Director's Cut for free if you obtain Steam's release of GWENT on your library before that, from now on. Like, I'm NOT a tight Scrooge and first Witcher is extremely cheap nowadays, but, still...hmmm...let's see...
