In this quest, does anyone know what gift the gossip lady will accept when Geralt wants to "get to know her better?" I tried jewelery, shawls, etc. to no avail. Any help would b very appreciated.

It's broken. If you're good enough with D'jinni, you could fix it. I'm just good enough to tell that there are no reachable conditions that enable the next step.

I have another question relating to this quest.

If you save roven (or nevor) he gives you his ring, but what to with it ? He says that he can fetch a good price at a merchant's store, but so far no merchant will buy the ring. I also found a broche, what to do with this? [I think maybe I broke this quest? by killing a ghost? near the old ruins...]

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance :)

Talk to the friendly (green) wraith at the ruins which appears near midnight with the brooch.
Later talk to Lena about this and she will give you some runes as extra reward.

A tangential question: I've run around just about everywhere, during both the day and night periods, looking for a Megacchinops. Where is it, exactly?

You can set what to give her by doing the following in D'jinni:
- load up the module called podstepy.adv
- make sure you have the properties window on by pressing ctrl+P
- go to conversation files
- select pds_cn_plotkara
- expand the conversation line that leads to the gift option until you reach the "I have something for you" line and select it
- in the properties window look for "Action Param 1: Gift_Tag" and next to it write the id of any item you want to give

This is exactly to the south of the ruins. As the others, I couldn't romance the gossip, she doesn't accept anything (maybe that should be the very first proposal to be accepted?..)
