I've bought Witcher here hoping to play with wine later. And then I discovered there is a Mac version. Damn it. Hoping it will be available for download here. I've heard much about this game and I really want to try it.
I already bought The Witcher on GoG so I don't want to go buy it again on steam just for the mac version. I bought it on GoG because I wanted to support CD Projekt but I'm feeling a bit disgruntled that they won't even release the mac version to their own game on their own site.

If a game is available on both GoG and Steam I always try to buy it on GoG because I support them more. But now I'm regretting buying The Witcher here.

To note, my problem isn't that I can't play it (I do have bootcamp) but that I would much much prefer to run it on my mac partition.

timnikoley: Is the Mac version of the Witcher 1 going to be available here on GOG as well?
I REALLY hope so... it's such a pity that the authors's site hasn't thte best versione fo the game..
Just as an FYI--for those of you who have bought the witcher here, and wish to play it on mac... the "mac" version of the witcher (1) is simply the pc game placed inside a WINE wrapper (free translation ethnology that makes it possible to play certain games on mac with a hit to performance). This is not true of all mac versions, it's a quick, homemade, port in a sense. Anyway, WINE is free, so you could try googling how to use wine (or just download a pre made wrapper and look for instructions); although, for 10 bucks, it may just be easier to rebuy at steam. Keep in mind, not all mac versions are made this way, and the official versions (or even ports made with cider instead of wine) usually run way better than using wine.
