Anyone have a walkthrough for the above new adventures quest? I been trying to play it but seem to missing things like the location of the haunted gold mine.

Actually, there's no walkthrough for the main plot but there's a guide to monsters and a guide to the Enchanted Circle side quest.
As for the location of the mine (slight spoilers):
- talk to the Mayor, he will tell you to go and see Ida;
- check the location of Ida's house on minimap, go there, and talk to Anabela.

I managed to get the the enchanted circle and some other side quests, however, i'm stuck delivering the letter to Barega. I got Freddy drunk and got the lost the tail response but Barega's house remains locked. Any help would be very appreciated!

Check "track the quest" feature, if the marker still points to Barega's house perhaps it's a bug. Anyway, Barega is not at home now, but in the mine.

Thanks for everyone's help particularly fantasta as I found Barega in the mine. I now have the key to the casket in the mayor's office but the game won't let me open it while he's there. The mayor's office is locked when he's absent. Any suggestions from anyone on what todo next?

The casket is in the mayor's house. Try to open the casket at night, while the mayor is sleeping.
