I just beat the game. Though, I realized that my last save file was before fighting against Jacques de Aldersberg, later on you make the choice of killing him or let The King of TWH take him (I chose to kill him myself).

So I don't know if this choice matters, if it does I guess I'm going to have to replay the fight and save afterwards.

I don't think it has any effect on The Witcher 2. It might have some effect in The Witcher 3, but we won't know that for about a month. ; )
