Hi,

I've read what I've found about runes, but can't understand how to put them into a silver sword.
Currently in chapter 5, still haven't figured it out and the runes are piling up.
I have a dwarven smith but the screen offered is just for selling. If I sell the runes they appear in the dwarf's inventory but otherwise it is empty. Is there something I don't understand?
I'm in old Vizima.
It's a little unintuitive how runes work. When you have three or more runes, the swords that they "create" appear in the smith's inventory. If you have many runes of different kinds, all the possible variants will appear for sale in the smith's inventory. Buy one of them, and the corresponding runes are used up. Meteor ore for steel swords works the same way.

yes, it was a bit strange. I loved the game, got my first ever playthrough yesterday.
Some things are a bit strange in Witcher, but I suppose for such a massive thing not every thing needs to be perfect.
And it's not that those rune swords are absolutely necessary. :)
