I lost my original Witcher 1 enhanced edition save files (was on ch 4), so I decided to download some files from Nexus. The readme said to drag and drop the files into the game save file location Documents/The Witcher/saves. Nothing shows up when I run the game. The only saves that show up in-game are those made manually, but for some reason even these don't show up in Documents/The Witcher/saves. Currently stuck and don't know what to do, would appreciate any help.

Without going much into where you placed the downloaded saves (does not really matter): you simply need to find where the saves that actually show up (those you made from within the game) are actually located and place the downloaded ones in the same location.

To add to this: just go to "My PC" or whatever it is called now and type ".thewitchersave" on the search bar. This will find all the savegames for The Witcher EE on your computer. Check the folder in which they are located (sometimes save files are placed in a folder different than the default one).
