It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

dinkytoy: Thanks it worked I did'nt think a problem with the executable could be caused by having a newer version of directx!
That's good to know, enjoy your game ;)
Now how do I delete a post because some things are very redundant like this and I want someone reading it to not have to go through so much text to get to the solution... And as a remark toward downloading manually the first download was corrupted and i disabled firewall and antivirus programs.

For the moment only members of the staff can delete posts or threads.

If the file is still coming across as corrupt try to manually download it once again, sometimes downloads get corrupt on first try and they turn out ok on subsequent tries. If you really can't download the file after a few tries you probably will have to contact gog's support so that they have a look at it.

Had the same problem when I first dl the game. You need to dl a copy of directX 9 and everything should launch fine. I wish I had thought of it before I spent the second time downloading an 8+ gig file.

dinkytoy: And the first part of the manual download is corrupted. I still had patience when I waited for the GOGdownloader to be fixed but this is stretching it very thin!

Namur: If the problem is on game launch then most likely it installed correctly. That error seems to indicate missing DX9 files on your system, try to intall the DX9 package from microsoft.

dinkytoy: But it says in the top left The witcher.exe so i assume it refers to reinstalling that program instead of something I don't have a problem with at all since I play a lot of games and have like directx version 10 or something!
