Not sure if anyone still checks this forum, but here we go.

Recently started playing W1 for the first time. Got to the end of chapter 3, "The Unforgiven". Killed the kikimore queen, looted the body, exited the cave, the cutscene plays, I see loading screen, annnnddd "The saved game file is missing or corrupted".

Tried re-installing, starting a new game then loading the save, deleting some of the older saves, going back to most recent save. None of them have worked so far

The game is clairvoyant and right.

You should mention that you most likely ruined your savegames/installation by using "mods". Otherwise, another volunteer will come up with the idea of wasting his time like I did in your identical thread in the Steam forum, which you have since deleted.

Yeah turns out all I needed to do was delete mods, load the save, let it continue to chapter 4, then reinstall the mods. Now I just feel embarrassed. How do I even delete my posts lol?
