During the installation there is no way to select which components you want to install and which not (for example, I only want Polish voices and text). As a result, installed game takes up a whopping 14GB of free space. Not a problem unless you plant to put it on SSD for faster loading times.

I started browsing game dir to see if I could delete something manually, hoping that the voice languages will be distinctly named, or something, but no such luck. I also noticed that some dirs are empty and some files are double for example:

Witcher\Data\Movies contains files cs_sex_[name] and the exact same files are also contained in root of Data dir. Thats 300megs of wasted space.

The following dirs are empty: Fx. Quests, Sounds, Textures.

It would be nice to be able to choose which language version we want to install, instead of wasting space for unwanted/unused voices.

I just compared my Polish install of non-GoG Witcher and noticed that all lang/speech files that have 05 in the name are Polish so I will delete all other files and see if it works.
For example: voices_5_00.bif is Polish,

I have no idea how other numbers correspond to languages so I cant help. I guess it will have to be done by trial and error.

I realy hope GoG will improve their installer so that it is possible to choose what voices we want.

Maybe you can replace on of these Files with a link to the other.

I compared it with retail install of the game - the folder Movies does not contain these "cs_sex" files at all, so perhaps they could be safely deleted from the GoG version.

After removing these files:
M1_xx_00.bif
M2_xx_00.bif
voices_xx_00.bif

Where xx is the languages you don't want(See list in second post. I only kept the ones labeled 3, English).

And by removing one set of the cs_sex movies and replacing them with symbolic links to the other set,

I was able to remove 5.4GB of uneeded stuff.
