It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

No, once you've bought it you can redownload it as many times as you want on as many different PCs as you want. As for this problem, try using another browser. ANY other browser than IE, to be honest.

SolidLatino: The message didn't scare me off. When I choose run anyway another message pops up saying "The setup file is corrupted. Please download a new copy of the program." What does that mean? Do I have to re-buy the game?
I'm not sure how this filtering works, but choosing the "run anyway" option usually means that the file will be saved somewhere and launched immediately. But this .exe file (1 of 6) definitely won't work until you download the remaining 5 files - the second message you get is probably caused by this.

Or, of course, if you already have them it would mean that in one of them some errors occurred during download and you need to download it again.

Do you have all 6 files on your PC hard drive right now? If you don't have them, you can't install the game.

Do try another browser if IE can't download the files.
Do you have the latest version of IE? I think others ran into similar issues due to having an old version of IE. Make sure it's updated.
1. Update your IE to version 9 if possible.

2. Download all 6 The Witcher installation files with the updated browser.

3. Try installing then.
Ok. So after doing EVERYTHING everyone suggested, the game STILL wouldn't even begin to download. It would either say that the file was corrupted or for some strange reason, it would take me to my StarCraft II login screen. Even trying to download the wallpapers would take me to my SCII login screen. So I decided delete my SCII files (love the game but I'm not obsessed with it like other diehard fans and I'll just re-download it later) and decided to try re-downloading The Witcher wallpapers. Well, they finally downloaded without a problem. I then tried to re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re -re-re-re-download the actual The Witcher game and lo and behold, it's FINALLY downloading on the GOG downloader. I'll post again when I actually play the game. I have NO explanation why it would keep taking me to my StarCraft II login screen. I have other games on my PC but it would only take me to SCII.

That's a weird one. Glad the download seems to be working though. Definitely let us know if you get in installed and running correctly.
well it might be that you connected a certain type of file class to be only opened by starcraft 2

like when that screen pops up when you try to open files and asked you what you want to open it with you might have picked starcraft II and said always open it with this

I had a similar problem tho it was with a programme I never used anyhow... so I deleted it

Nope. I thoroughly checked and re-checked my files. Most of the time it didn't even give me a chance to choose a specific file. It was the weirdest thing I tell ya. Almost as if StarCraft II was like, "Nooooooo!!! Play Meeeeeeeeee!!!
Ok. All done. I've been playing for a bit now. Lovin it so far. Thanks for all the help from everyone. Not the best first time experience from GOG but this community was definitely awesome. Thanks again to all.
