I don't remember having these problems with the original witcher but this gog version stutters badly when the creature first appears through the gates at the castle. It also stutters most of the time afterwards i'm running with vsync off. Everything is on high but AA is off

Q6600(3.1) , GTX260 (705/1450/1185) , 8GB , SSD/HD , Windows 7 64BIT( System is Prime stable and cool ) Plays BFBC2 and other games perfectly

When you first load up the game and have that early tutorial combat, it doesn't stutter at all and is smooth

I had the same issues. Game was choppier at a few moments, but once you get to control Geralt, it works better. Also when I had control over the character the first time, I had weird white stripes all over my screen, it was fixed when I saved and loaded the game.

Edit: Specs: Q6600, 2 GB RAM GeForce 9600GT, Win XP SP 3

Hmm i have similar issues. I have microstutter on the first level. My configuration is i7 930, 6 gb ram, and AMD 7950 3 gb. I'm wondering what could be causing this.

Edit: Lowering lighting and shadows seems to fix this. But i didn't have this issue on the same configuration with GTX 560ti...
