Just that. I just want to replay it, after recently having upgraded from Win7 to Win10.
Happily started killing Salamander goons at Kaer Morhen and then the game simply crashed to Desktop.

I need a solution. Posted previously about a random crash 2 years ago and nobody answered.
I just want to play again after chapter 3 constantly crashing last time.

Thanks in advance.

This is a community forum, not a support one. The community is very friendly and helpful so, if someone knows the answer to your problems, they will answer, but you can't take it for granted. It's not their job.

However, it is GOG Support's job, so if nobody knows how to solve your problem, don't hesitate to open a ticket: https://support.gog.com/hc/en-us/categories/201400969-Game-Technical-Issues The Support staff is also very helpful and professional.

Regarding your question, my game also started crashing in Chapter 3, and I found out that deleting old save files solved the problem (by then there are a lot in the save folder, especially autosaves, and they mess things up). But I don't know about a crash as early as Kaer Morhen (the prologue). If it's not a repeated problem, you can probably keep going.

Thanks for your answer.
Defrag and Delete Save FIles was like managing Alchemy on the game to me and had it on check since every restart.
I guess re-installing 4GB patcher and messing up with RivaTuner again is the only way to go.

None of this solved my crashes at Chapter II, further hinting at a corrupted save file (doesn't this happen all the time? I had to mess up with quest editor to resolve the Core Quest first time I played).

With all its flaws is still my favourite Witcher game, and it breaks my heart being unable to progress and not exactly knowing why.

I guess there's no harm done on opening a ticket.
Thanks for the suggestion and the civil tone.
