Hello all. I've just finished downloading the Witcher from GOG's downloader. The download finishes, the downloader does the compiling and integrity checking. But than, it only manages to compile bin-1 and bin-5. Any suggestions on how to compile all the bin files without re-downloading the entire thing? I've not changed the directory midway and have not made any modifications to my system since the download began. Any help would be appreciated, thanks....

You may try removing the game from downloader list, restarting the application and adding the game again. It should pick up any missing chunks.
Hey, thanks for the tip. I removed from list, added it again and then it downloaded a few MB and began compiling. The compiling went fine, but now I get an error saying the bin files are corrupted. Never got this error before. Any help?

Does it say which files?
if you have all .bin compiled post their size here, maybe you'll need to re-download only single one.
The error lists bin files 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. Their sizes are:

bin-1- 20,49,302 KB
bin-2- 20,50,782 KB
bin-3- 20,50,782 KB
bin-4- 20,50,782 KB
bin-5- 6,00,565 KB

This is the info given on the explorer pane for my downloads folder. However, on accessing the properties tab, the files show as 1.95 GB for bin1-4 and 586 MB for bin-5. Are all my files corrupted?

Those sizes are correct, actually.
What about the .exe file?
2,480 KB and 2.42 MB in the properties tab.
Ok, that's strange.
Did you try running the setup.exe directly? (not through downloader and remember to use admin rights)

Sighs, same error. I tried the re-adding thing with the downloader again and now it's gone back to 6 GB downloaded. Just wait for this download to end I suppose. Thanks a ton for help so far!

Yup, looks like it.
I am having a simialr problem with the download. The first attempt ended as an incomplete download. The second attempt successfully downloaded and did the integrity check and the install began but stopped with the error: "cannot open file D:\\Games\witcher\setup_the_witcher_enhanced_edition-4.bin". I deleted everything and started over with the same result. I did start the install manually as well. I do not know what else to try. Any suggestions?

I tried the removing and re-inserting into the downloader tip again. This time I only get bin-3 as corrupted. There seems to be something seriously wrong with this download. Will attempt a browser download at some point and let you know if that works.

UPDATE: So basically, the browser download died at 98% with a server not found error. So I tried the remove from downloader, add it again trick. And this time it worked! WOOT!

I really have no idea why this problem occured or how it was fixed. Basically, trial and error I guess. Just keep deleting/adding it to the downloader and until it compiles all the files properly and install. Best of luck to all those having this issue.
