So I reset my computer and reinstalled windows cuz the performance and was trashy. I try to run the witcher1 and I get a message saying d3dx9_35.dll is missing. I have the newest version of directX and I tried to use compatibility mode. So like now I am just like wtf. I think I have to download an older version of direct X but I dunno if that's a good idea. I also tried verifying the game.

The Witcher requires DirectX 9. You can get it from Microsoft at the following links:

Easy method
Online (web) installer

Alternative method
Offline installer

You do need the older version, & it will not effect other games that use a later version.
If you have Win 8.1 or 10, you can't use the web installer.
Use the Alternate link posted above, and run DXSETUP.exe (See Pic)
You may also need to disable your Antivirus program while you run DXSETUP.
