Cant believe I only just found out about adding the CD key given by steam to GOG, but using it on the GOG redeem gives me an 'Invalid Code' :/ Any help?

Edit: Agh. Somebody delete this topic... I found out I was entering it into the wrong redeem area *doh*

i have the same problem, witcher 2 works fine, but witcher 1 doesn't work. What different redeem area are you talking about?
I can't redeem my Steam Witcher 1 either, and since it was bought ages ago I don't have the receipt from steam either (hardware failures are a thing).
OP How did you resolve the problem? I'm in the same boat.

Going into steam detail view and clicking on the game, to the right theres a list of options (on the news/achievements/blub area). One should be 'CD Key'. Hit that and get it from there
I too have been unable to get the CD Key I got from my Steam > Library > Links to register. I hate to go through the lengthy validation process but may have to. =/
I got my cd key from there but still unable to redeem on gog.
Witcher 2 works fine using the same way.
Same here. I even tried removing the first part (does your key start with REDWIBDD too?) since the W2 key was only four groups of five while W's key was REDWIBDD followed by four groups of five -- no luck. W2 worked fine (a while ago, though, I don't know why I didn't try to redeem W a long time ago).
I'm in the same boat as everyone else who can't get Witcher 1 to add on GoG. Thinking of emailing support instead of going through that whole verification bullshit.

It worked well for me from a Steam key (Enhanced edition+RoW). Started with "REDWIBDD" too.
It isn't working for me either. W2 redeemed, but not W1.
same problem for me.

i'm in the US. Witcher 2 worked fine, Witcher 1 EE says invalid...
I'm having the same issue. Witcher 2 CD Key from Steam worked right away, but my Witcher 1 EE CD key keeps saying it is invalid. I bought that game quite a long time ago and didn't bother to keep the email once it was paid out.

Same problem here, just like everyone else. :\
